1978 SET REPORT

We attended the celebration of lives of our Matriarchs including Late Madam Evangelist Mabel Ojeshekhoba, Mother of our member Mr. Gabriel Ojeshekhoba and Late Alhaja Belawu Ajoke Apaokagi mother of our member Mrs. Aduke Kupolati. Our activities last year also involved some of our members attending the 80th birthday celebration of one of our teachers, the Venerable Oyetola, our biology teacher at Edunabon in Osun State.

On November 4, 2023, we held our 50th anniversary marked at two locations concurrently – Abuja and Lagos - where a large number of our members were present. During this occasion, our Set made donations to the following orphanage centers worth over N400K: Abuja Children Home located at Senator George Akume Way Karu 900101 (New Karu) Abuja, Federal Capital Territory and Motherless Babies’ Home at Kenneth Agbakuru Street, Off Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 (106104) Lagos. After a visit to the orphanage centers, we then went to have lunch, and the high point of this occasion was the speech delivered by our set '78 set Chairman Dr Ibrahim Salau which was broadcast in the two locations simultaneously. On January 14, 2024, our Set was shocked with the sad news of the death of one of our members, Pastor (Engr) John Ononivami Lasisi Bello. Our Set Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Salau, led a delegation to attend his burial ceremony at Lokoja on Saturday, Feb 3, 2024. Last year, we also had family members of our two of our members who passed on after a life well lived.
